01 The real pet

Every great adventure begins with someone real.

Before there are creatures, there is your pet: the one who waits at the door, steals the warm spot, knows your footsteps. Petlings starts there, and keeps coming back there.

02 Digital identity

Your pet has an identity in Petso.

Every pet on Petso has a Digital ID: a secure record of who they are. That identity is the seed your Familiar grows from.

Only species and coat colour shape the look directly. The rest comes from a one-way code of the ID, so nothing private is ever shown.

03 The hatch

From that identity, your Familiar awakens.

A cocoon forms from your pet's identity, cracks open, and your Familiar steps out: your first Petling, and the one that's yours for good.

05 Bond & care

The bond grows through the care you give.

Choose one Petling as your Companion. Every day you look in counts. So does real care for your real pet: an approved vet or grooming record, a completed Petso booking, an approved Care Plan visit or a walk of 2 km or more.

Each counted day extends a streak and writes a line into the creature's story, which travels with it for good. Miss a day and only the streak resets; nothing ever decays. Petlings never reads medical records on its own; only approved records count.

A Family Circle is a small, private league of families you already know: a class, the cousins, the neighbours. Every Petling your family catches outdoors that week counts, children's and parents' catches alike. A fresh start every Monday.

  • Parents invite parents. Every family is approved before it joins.
  • No chat, no strangers. Other families see a child's first name and a letter avatar. Never a photo, an age or a location.
  • Two crowns each week: Top family this week and Top catcher this week.
