Getting started
What is Petlings?
Petlings is a creature-collecting world in the Petso app. Your real pet hatches your first Petling, the Familiar; then you explore a real-world map to find creatures from every country, play games and share it all with your family.
Is it free?
Petlings is free to play in the Petso app. You don't need to know anything about crypto.
Where do I play?
In the Petso app on iPhone and Android. This website is a guide with demos; nothing you do here is saved to a Petso account.
How many Petlings are there?
1,829 species across 198 countries and regions, in five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Heritage and Mythic.
Your Familiar
What is a Familiar?
Your first Petling, hatched from your real pet's identity in Petso. Species sets its shape, the recorded coat colour its main colour, and the pet's Digital ID decides the rest.
Can I hatch more than one?
A pet hatches its Familiar once. Every pet on your account can hatch its own.
Can I sell my Familiar?
Your Familiar stays with you for good. It can't be sold.
Playing
How do I catch a Petling?
Walk within 150 m of it in real life, read its mood, offer the food it likes and attune.
Does everyone see the same creatures?
The same spot shows the same creatures to everyone at the same time.
What is the Companion?
One Petling you look after. Every day you look in counts, and so does real care for your pet: an approved vet or grooming record, a completed Petso booking, an approved Care Plan visit or a walk of 2 km or more.
What is Petlings Haven?
A small living world where your Familiar and two Petlings move onto a shared canal street and live their own lives. Each morning, the Daily Chronicle tells you what happened.
What are Family Circles?
Private weekly leagues of up to 30 families you know, joined by parent-to-parent invitation. Every Petling your family catches outdoors that week counts, children's and parents' catches alike.
Safety and families
Is Petlings safe for children?
Children join only as family members added by a parent, from age 6. They have no chat, no strangers and no social feed. In Family Circles they appear by first name and a letter avatar only.
Does this website use my location?
No. The maps here are samples. Petlings uses your location only inside the Petso app, with your permission.
What data does this website collect?
No pet or owner data. With your consent, anonymous analytics help us see which parts people enjoy.
Open Market and $PET
Do I need crypto to play?
No. The game is free, and you never need to know anything about crypto. In the app, $PET is a game balance.
What is a guide value?
Guide value is an indicative reference, recalculated every hour. It is not a promised price.
Do game rewards have cash value?
Petlings is a game. Guide values and rewards are part of play, not an investment or a promise of any price.
